Japan Sees Cryptocurrency Theft of Over Half a Billion Dollars in Q1 and Q2 of 2018

A new report from Asahi Shimbum estimates that Cryptocurrency theft has exceeded half a billion dollars in the first two quarters of 2018. Japan’s National Police Agency reported that 158 incidents in the first half of this year, more than the total number of incidents that occurred in all of 2017.
